Our Classes

Infant Massage

Lovabelle recommends baby massage as a first class to attend with your baby. It is suitable from birth and helps smoothe the transition from the womb into their new world through positive touch, gentle massage strokes and familiar songs and rhymes. It is a beautiful bonding experience for you and your baby, allowing lots of skin to skin contact, as well as learning techniques to help soothe and relax your baby. Massage techniques help alleviate symptoms of common ailments such as colds, colic, digestive issues and teething.

Baby massage can increase a mother’s awareness of her baby’s needs and support their early bond, as well as improve her sense of well-being if she is suffering with postnatal depression or other mental health issues.

Baby massage is the gentle, rhythmic stroking of your baby’s body using your hands. Not all babies know how to relax. Some may have colic, sleeplessness or may just be a fussy baby so baby massage helps them to wind down and settle.

Babies can use our sensory area which gives them the opportunity of free play. They can detect patterns in rhythm and tempo, even finding it more engaging than speech.

Fun facts

Babies Vision

Newborns’ colour perception is limited to white, black and grey, as their eyes and capacity for sight are not fully developed at birth. The first primary colour a baby will see is red. When choosing toys that are visually stimulating for your baby look for high-contrast black-and-white patterns. This will attract their attention and help them to focus.

I’ve been going to Lovabelle since my little one was nearly 8 weeks old and we love it. Classes help him develop his senses, language and motor skills, keep him entertained and allow for contact with other babies. It is also a good opportunity to chat with other mums and exchange experiences and tips.
Gemma is lovely, keeps babies entertained and always help the shy mums get the conversation going (thanks Gemma )
We’ll be going until my little boy is too big and ready to move to toddler group.

Couldn’t recommend this class more! It was the stand out class of my maternity leave. Gemma is so welcoming, the atmosphere in the group is brilliant. The group is so friendly, it was an opportunity every week to talk to other mothers and ask questions and get advice and make friends. Miss coming along every week!
My baby also got a lot out of it. Absolute excitement when the puppet was on its way, loved the light show at the end, staring at all the other people in the room and having a good people watch.
